As the Founding Principal of Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City, Dan Clark bringsover 18 years of senior leadership experience in two of the UK’s leading independent schools,Marlborough College and Repton School UK. Educated at George Heriot’s School, Edinburgh,and the University of St Andrews, Clark is recognised for his commitment to academic rigour,evidence-led approaches to teching and learning leadership, and a commitment to nurturingboth excellence and character.Throughout his career, Clark has developed a reputation for driving academic strategy andholistic student development. Renowned for his ability to establish high-performing teamsand create learning environments where intellectual curiosity, resilience, and integrity areintegral to the student learning outcomes. Prior to taking the helm at Queen Elizabeth’sSchool, Dubai Sports City, Clark was Deputy Head at Marlborough College in the UK, and inthat role focused closely on maximising progress for all, leading the school to the top 5% ofvalue-adding schools nationally. Through a renewed focus on the craft of teaching and thesceience of learning, alongside curriculum developments which provided tailored pathwaysthrough the curriculum.Clark’s forward-thinking educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that outstandingeducation succeeds in opening multiple new horizons for students. During his tenure atRepton School UK as Head of Department, Clark spearheaded fourfold growth in subjectuptake, and positioned his department as the most academically successful in the school.During that time, he also developed a passion for curriculum design and led the school’sservice and philanthropic programmes,A passionate educator, Clark is committed to helping students think independently, actresponsibly, and make a meaningful impact in a changing world.
