Profile
Hany is a public policy and research advisor with 20 years of experience across government, international organisations, and the private sector in the UAE, Australia, and Egypt. He currently serves as a Research and Scenario Planning Advisor at the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council (EHCD), contributing to policies that strengthen the linkage between education, workforce, and community development in the UAE.
Throughout his career, Hany has advised senior leadership on strategic priorities related to labour market development, global competitiveness, public sector transformation, and human capital advancement. His UAE experience includes leading technical contributions to the Dubai Competitiveness Strategy at Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET), developing labour market policies and strategic initiatives at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) to enhance the UAE labour market’s competitiveness, and developing innovative transport policies at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
He has also worked with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and Kantar TNS, while providing technical expertise to leadership within Egypt’s Ministries of Trade and Industry and Investment.
Hany holds an MPA from Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government and has completed executive education programmes at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Michigan.
