Matthew began his career teaching History and Citizenship in a Secondary School in South London 22 years ago. He was the founding Principal/CEO of the most successful school opening in GEMS Education history, GEMS Founders School, Dubai in September 2016. Matthew’s role expanded when he was appointed as Vice President – Education in January 2021 to lead 7 schools across the UAE. In January 2023 he was promoted to Senior Vice President – Education leading 8 schools and caring for over 23,000 children. He is also a fully trained Lead Inspector for BSO inspections working with schools across the world and works with COBIS as a Lead Improvement Partner. Additionally, represents BSME schools as a member of the Executive Committee and was recently been co-opted onto the AoBSO Board. It is important to him, that children at GFS are mindful and happy learners who love coming to school every day
