Moataaz is chairman of Uptown 6 October for Investment and Educational Development and CO-CEO & Vice Chairman of the Uptown 6 October Group of Companies. With expertise in law, business, and technology, his career spans investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, and institutional financing.

He began at Ofok Systems, later becoming General Manager at JS Consulting Firm (UK) and a Board Member of Egypt Investment Company. A law graduate from Cairo University, he holds an Executive MBA (IIM), Cisco’s Business certification, and REITS diploma.

In 2005, he founded Ofok e-Academy, Egypt’s first e-learning platform, training 20,000 students in ICT and earning a World Economic Forum Award. He also leads NGOs like the SFD, EALD, AFRALO, ISOC and ICANN At-Large Egypt.
