Ravi joined Aldar Group in early 2023 taking over leadership of the finance function for the Group’s education business.

Prior to joining Aldar Education, Ravi has been a key member of the leadership team that built GEMS Education into a multibillion-dollar worth business.

During his 16 years tenure, GEMS grew its schools from 17 to 68 in the Middle East, increased revenues by more than 12x to 1.2B$, raised three rounds of private equity capital.

At GEMS, Ravi had an accelerated career path from Senior Financial Analyst in 2005 to Finance Director in 2010 for GEMS UK, Group Operational Finance Director in 2011 for GEMS MENASA and to Chief Product & Planning Officer during 2017 to 2021. During this tenure of Product & Planning, GEMS was successful in conceptualising and monetizing new products that include GEMS Founders School, GEMS Metropole School, GEMS International School, GEMS Heritage School, GEMS New Millennium School, GEMS First Point School and GEMS National School.

Ravi brings with him finance and strategy skills relevant for the Education sector particularly in building schools operating and business models, developing strategic master plan of ‘what to build’ & ‘where to build’, public private partnership models, benchmarking studies, greenfield development, acquisition and integration.

Ravi is a Chartered Accountant and Harvard Business School AMP Graduate. In his personal capacity, he has also incubated Stratfinity Ventures with investment in 25+ startups in new age businesses across Agritech, Robotics, Spacetech, Healthtech, EV and Education.
