Richard grew up in Leicestershire in the UK and graduated from the Universities of Edinburgh and Cambridge.

He worked in consulting and travelled extensively in Asia where he was based in Hong Kong. He then spent several years in the GCC growing a major private equity real estate business before joining International Schools Partnership (iSP) to lead expansion across the Middle East and Asia.

Richard has a lifelong interest in education having taught and volunteered in schools and colleges in Asia and has lectured at the Cambridge Judge Business School.

He is a keen sportsman and has played competitive international rugby, though now enjoys the injury free spectator side of the game. His spare time is dedicated to his family of girls and to his quest to speak fluent Spanish!
