CEO at Aldar Education

Sahar Cooper is CEO of Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi. Since joining Aldar Education in 2018, she has been responsible for the group’s transformational growth. She has driven school improvement, ensuring all of the group’s schools offer quality, inclusive education, and has pioneered the expansion of the Aldar Education’s portfolio in the UAE to encompass 20 schools with over 24,000 students.

Sahar is an expert in the field of education, bringing over 25 years of experience in school leadership, global education management, and business acumen, holding the position as GEMS Education’s Chief School Operating Officer before joining Aldar Education. Throughout her professional career, Sahar has been instrumental in shaping the MENA region’s educational landscape, working closely with private operators and local authorities to foster the development of the next generation of UAE graduates.

Sahar holds an MBA in International Management, as well as a BSc in Business Management from Southeastern University, USA. She received a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Society of Business Practitioners, UK. In February 2023, Sahar featured in Forbes Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen, one of only two women from the education sector to achieve the accolade.
