Over the past 25 years, Shahina Waheed has built a diverse and accomplished career, holding a doctoral degree in Development Economics from Germany. She holds a multidisciplinary career of promoting Impact Investing by integrating Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) factors. As innovation and Entrepreneurship Professional, she had a long career with United Nations for fostering clean technology driven innovations led entrepreneurship for youth in innovative and creative sectors of the economy in collaboration with Silicon Valley USA. Currently, she is working with UAE Campus of Walsh College USA as Vice President – Business Development and Innovation.

Her career is defined by a deep dedication to promoting social and technology-driven innovations while embracing a circular economy approach. She has also been strongly committed to creating entrepreneurial ecosystems and developing entrepreneurial mindsets of human resource. Her recent work with United Nations on “Global Cleantech Innovation Program includes running a Silicon Valley USA based Cleantech Business Accelerators in collaboration with universities, public and private sectors.

She is an expert of introducing innovations to traditional industrial sectors along with developing modern analytical and benchmarking methods for creative sectors of the economy. Her work mainly focuses on integrating micro, small and medium level enterprises, entrepreneurs and technical innovators of creative industries into the organised creative economy, unlocking their full potential.
