Shannon Pipes a highly experienced educator with a 15-year career in the field. She has worked as an English teacher and Head of Department in South Korea and China for a total of nine years specialising in teaching English as a First Language and as a Second Language to students aged 5-18 and as a Head of Department. She was was in Abu Dhabi, UAE for five years as an administrator. She is the founding principal of One World International School in Riyadh. She firmly believes that all students can be successful if they are given the right support and guidance.
She is an educator who believes in the power of literacy. She has been involved in Model Congress and Model United Nations, both on the international stage and within the United States, to help promote literacy and education.
She loves to see students learn and grow, and she is constantly exploring new ways to help them do so. Her philosophy on education has shifted throughout her experience as a teacher and as an administrator, but one concept that has remained the same is that she is committed to educating the whole child.
