Luca Aguzzoni

Economist with a specialization in competition policy and extensive work experience in public policy, antitrust enforcement, antitrust compliance, ex-post evaluation and technical assistance. Currently serving as Head of Sector in DG Connect and enforcing the Digital Market Act. He joined the European Commission in 2014 and worked at the Chief Economist Team of DG COMP and at the Recovery and Resilience task force. He has work experience in several industrial sectors such as telecoms, manufacturing, basic industries, airlines, media and energy. He has co-authored a number of studies published in peer reviewed journals and, early in his career, when working in private practice, he has also advised large and small companies on high-level antitrust and damages cases. He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence).
