Osman is an in-house lawyer with Oxford University Press (OUP), a department of the University of Oxford committed to furthering the University’s objective of excellence in research, scholarship and education by publishing worldwide. As General Counsel, Education he advises on all legal issues and risks arising for OUP’s ‘schools publishing’ division across the globe; he also supports all of OUP’s business divisions on competition law matters.
Previously a competition lawyer in private practice for a decade, Osman focused on the interface of competition law with intellectual property. In his time in private practice, he contributed regular updates for practitioner publications, also leading post-graduate seminars at LSE on the competition/intellectual property interface in the life sciences and TMT sectors.
