Joined Telefónica Group in 2000 as Competition Counsel, practicing competition law (antitrust, merger control and state aid) as well as Telecoms regulatory law, unfair competition, advertising law and litigation, at several companies of the Group. From 2012 to 2014, Head of Legal and Competition at Telefónica Europe plc, reporting to the General Counsel. Since July 2014, at Telefónica SA’s Public Policy team, having been appointed Head of Competition and Data Policy in September 2016.

Before joining Telefónica, working at the European and Foreign Affairs General Direction of the Spanish regional administration “Junta de Castilla y León”.

Law Degree at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), EC Law Specialization at CEU San Pablo (Madrid) and EU Law Master (LLM) at the College of Europe (Bruges). In the academic field, usually collaborating in Masters and postgraduate courses (IE, CEU San Pablo, IEB…), as well as participating in specialized fora or events as speaker or chairperson. Publication of some articles and chapters related to competition and regulatory matters. Member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2004.
