Nick is a Senior Adviser at APCO Worldwide with 30 years of competition law experience and advises corporate clients on competition issues across the world, with a particular focus on mergers. Until recently, Nick led the competition law team at Vodafone Group. He was responsible for all competition law matters across the Vodafone business in Europe, Africa and further afield. Recent successes included the CMA approval (subject to remedies) of the Vodafone/Three UK merger, approval by the Italian Competition Authority of the sale of Vodafone Italy to Swisscomm and victories in the European General Court on merger appeals against European Commission approvals of Vodafone’s acquisition of Liberty Global’s German cable business and the creation of the INWIT towerco joint venture with TIM in Italy.
