Alice Matthews is an associate in the Life Sciences team at Taylor Wessing, with a focus on regulatory and commercial work.

Alice provides regulatory and commercial advice in relation to a broad range of matters in the life sciences and healthcare sector. Her experiences includes advising on the regulation of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetic products, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, food and beverages, food supplements, and wellness products. In particular, Alice advises in relation to the sale, supply and advertising and promotion of such products.

Alice also provides advice and assists on the drafting and negotiation of contracts regarding clinical trials, research support, product influencers and "ambassadors", and also contracts between economic operators in product supply chains.

In addition, Alice advises on the regulatory aspects of corporate transactions and equity investments. She has advised on transactions regarding the purchase of or investment into medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, skincare clinics, care homes and companies in the crop gene-editing space.

Alice's practice also includes commercial and transactional intellectual property work, including the drafting and negotiation of confidentiality agreements, spin-out licences, and research and collaboration agreements.
