Robert is a qualified European and UK Patent Attorney with over 25 years' experience. He has a degree and PhD in biochemistry and molecular genetics and he has worked in both private practice and industry. Robert has a focus on patent drafting, prosecution, EPO opposition work and IP strategy, in particular in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical space.

Robert was co-chair of the CMS life science and healthcare practice in the UK from 2017-2025. He is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers in the UK and leads the CMS patent attorney team, also ranked in band 1 (Legal 500).
