Profile
Brendon Pinch is a senior policy advisor for credit institutions in the Resolution Directorate of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Brendon previously worked as a Senior Legal Expert in the Policy Directorate of the Single Resolution Board and has extensive experience as a finance lawyer, both as in-house counsel for investment banks and in private practice.
Brendon works on the development and implementation of the bail-in tool and TLAC/MREL policy at the level of both the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM) and the Financial Stability Board (FSB). He participates in the SRM MREL Taskforce, the body responsible for the development of the MREL policy for SRM banks, and the SRM bail-in internal network.
As part of his role, Brendon has a particular focus on the involvement of third party stakeholders in the execution of bail-in, including trading venues, central securities depositaries and market authorities. He represents DNB in the European Banking Authority’s sub-group on resolution execution, the FSB bank cross-border crisis management group and he currently chairs the FSB’s bail-in execution workstream.
Brendon also advises DNB the Dutch Ministry of Finance on the development of EU legislation, including CRR3/CRD6, the negotiation of Banking Package (BBRD2/SRMR2) and the current CMDI proposals (BRRD3/SRMR3/DGSD3), and participates in relevant Council discussions and working groups.
