Brendon Pinch
Advisor - Resolution Policy at DNB - CENTRAL BANK OF THE NETHERLANDS

Brendon Pinch is a policy advisor for credit institutions in the Resolution Directorate of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Brendon’s work focuses on the development and implementation of the Dutch bail-in mechanism and MREL policy for the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM). Brendon previously worked as a Senior Legal Expert in the Policy Directorate of the Single Resolution Board (SRB) and has extensive experience as a finance lawyer, both as in-house counsel for investment banks and in private practice.

As part of his work, Brendon has a particular focus on the involvement of third party stakeholders in the execution of the bail-in tool, such as trading venues, central securities depositaries and market authorities. He represents DNB in various cross-border working groups including the European Banking Authority’s sub-group on resolution execution and the Financial Stability Board’s bail-in execution work stream. Brendon also participates in the SRM MREL Taskforce, the body responsible for the development of the SRM’s MREL policy, which was recently published by the SRB. Key areas of interest for DNB include subordination, third country issuances and the treatment of contingent liabilities.
