Ismael Ahmad is Senior Financial Specialist in the Financial Stability Advisory Center (FinSAC) in Vienna, a unit specialized in the provision of advice on banking supervision, resolution and financial stability to countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries. Ismael is or has been working banking supervision and resolution matters, including recovery and resolution planning, in Indonesia, South Africa, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Romania, Bosnia i Herzegovina, Nigeria or Albania in the last two years. Ismael started his career as banking supervisor in the Bank of Spain, and then moved to PwC as a Director and then to Bluecap Management Consulting, as a partner, where he regularly assisted banks and other financial institutions in recovery and resolution planning, risk management, governance, or stress testing.
