Head of Unit for Resolution Tools, Bank Testing and Resolvability at SRB

Javier Domínguez Peña is the Head of Resolvability, bank testing and resolution tools Unit at the Single Resolution Board (SRB). He is responsible for policy developments in such fields as well as responsible of control and monitoring them. He joined the SRB in 2015, since then he had been responsible of different areas and projects, including the development of the on-site inspection settings and the crisis management unit. Before moving to his current position, he was head of unit at resolution directorate, being in charge of the resolvability of banks in Greece, Cyprus and France.

Before joining the SRB he has been working at FROB, CNMV, Bank of Spain and investment banking. Javier Domínguez graduated in Law and graduated in Business Administration by ICADE Business School (E-3) and holds different postgraduates’ studies on accounting, financial system and business law, including a Master in Taxation by San Pablo University (CEU). He was professor at National University of Distance Education (UNED) and Centro de Estudios Financieros (UDIMA/CEF). He is CNMV IFRS expert (on leave of absence).
