Konrad Richter joined the Austrian National Bank in 2013. Since his entry into OeNB, he is involved in crisis management topics and helped build up the establishment of recovery and resolution planning in Austria. He is Co-Chair of the SSM Crisis Management network, heads the Expert Group on Crisis Management of OeNB and FMA and is involved in multiple international working groups related to crisis management.

Beyond crisis management, Konrad also works on Cyber Security, Fintech and Suptech topics. Before joining OeNB, Mr. Richter worked more than 10 years with McKinsey&Co, a management consultancy, where he was a Senior Expert for Risk Management. He holds a master’s in physics and a PhD in economics.
