Matthijs van Oers is Head of Recovery and Resolution Planning at ING. Before joining ING in 2016 he worked for the Dutch Central Bank for 10 years - which is the designated National Resolution Authority in the Netherlands - and was involved in recovery and resolution planning from the start. He has been responsible for the resolution planning for the three largest banks in the Netherlands and was a member of the Financial Stability Board Cross Border Crisis Management Group. He contributed to policy making on many important resolution related topics such as TLAC, resolution strategies and access to Financial Market Infrastructures. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and an MBA both from the University of Amsterdam.
