Stefan Linder is a Director in PwC Germany’s Financial Services practice in Frankfurt with over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Stefan’s areas of interest lie in the set-up, validation, and valuation of business models in restructuring situations (especially set-up and business planning of bad banks and respective stress testing) as well as in recovery and resolution planning under the respective national and international regulations (e.g. EU/BRRD, EBA, FSB). Additionally, Stefan has assumed project management roles in various large-scale projects, has executed several deal-oriented valuation and financial due diligence services and has advised banks on business segment carve-outs and on M&A acquisitions (sell-and buy-side).
Since 2007, Stefan has been involved in leading positions in various European bank recovery and resolution activities and has supported projects relating to recovery and resolution planning in Germany, Belgium, France, US, UK, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Malta, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. He has advised banking clients on more than 80 RRP projects and also works often for authorities such as SRB and BaFin in policy development and actual resolution case. Stefan regularly hosts workshops and trainings on recovery and resolution planning for supervisors as well as recovery and resolution authorities around the globe.
