Course Overview

This mine exploration and processing training programme will provide a new or relatively new entrant into the mining industry with a clear understanding of the fundamentals of mine exploration, the workings and technical components of mining in general and its application in the Australian and global industry.

Participants will gain an understanding of mine geology and learn about the technical aspects of mining, including exploration methods, resource estimation, surface mining, underground mining, mine planning, mining methods, and mine closures.

Participants will gain a sound understanding of mine safety and regulations. They will also learn the terminology used within the industry and gain knowledge on the motivation and factors that influence the technical and broader industry personnel with whom they interact on a day-to-day basis.

For those who need to become experts in the mining industry, this mine planning training programme will provide a fundamental background and starting point and improve communication and negotiation with peers and stakeholders.
