Jeff Abramson, Underwriting Manager, Americas Political Risk & Credit, AXA XL. Jeff Abramson manages AXA XL’s market leading Political Risk and Credit underwriting team in the Americas and previously led AXA XL’s special risks initiative in political risk and credit. Prior to that he established and led AXA XL’s short-term trade receivable insurance business. Jeff has more than 30 years of experience both in the public and private sectors, including positions at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, where he served as acting Senior Vice President and Head of Export Finance and as Head of Trade Finance; at management consultancy DFI International, where he was a principal and practice leader; and at the Center for Strategic International Studies where he was a research associate. Jeff was a U.S. Army officer and is a combat veteran. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned an MA in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and an MS in Finance from George Washington University. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
