Laura Alonzo is Co-Head of Partnerships at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), which houses the World Bank Group Guarantee Platform. She leads strategic partnerships that mobilize private investment for sustainable development in emerging markets and developing economies. She oversees engagement with governments, development finance institutions, philanthropic organizations, and private sector partners to expand MIGA’s impact through innovative risk sharing, investment guarantee facilities, and collaborative investment platforms.
Throughout her career at the World Bank Group, Laura has held leadership roles spanning partnerships, finance, and strategy, with a particular focus on mobilizing capital for infrastructure, climate, fragile and conflict-affected settings, and private sector development.
