Dan Riordan is a highly accomplished insurance leader with extensive expertise in political risk and credit. As the Head of Political Risk and Credit at MSIG USA, he is responsible for driving the growth and development of this portfolio, ensuring the delivery of innovative coverages that augment general risk exposures for clients. Dan leads the team in managing underwriting capabilities, developing tailored insurance solutions, and fostering strong client relationships within the U.S. brokered market.

Before joining MSIG USA, Dan served as the Global Head of Political Risk & Credit at Vantage Risk Companies, President of Political Risk, Credit & Bond at AXA XL and XL Catlin, and Chief Executive Officer of Global Corporate, North America at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. His career also includes a notable tenure at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, where he held various senior positions. Dan holds a Master of Arts in International Development from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and African Studies from the State University of New York College at Oswego.
