Head, Debt Mobilisation Product Development at EBRD

Daniel Borrego Cubero is an Associate Director in the EBRD's Debt Mobilisation team, which is responsible for the mobilisation of commercially-priced debt through a range of products from banks, development finance institutions and institutional investors across the EBRD’s countries of operations.

Daniel leads a newly created unit dedicated to the design and development of novel debt mobilisation initiatives, as well as to investor education and the continued advancement of a strong mobilisation culture at the EBRD.

Daniel has worked at the EBRD for over 20 years, where he has acted as a banker in the Manufacturing and Services and in the Agribusiness sectors, including a two-year assignment in Romania.

Prior to the EBRD Daniel worked for UBS in New York in the Mergers and Acquisitions department covering US and Latin American markets. Daniel holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
