Duarte Pedreira is an experienced trade financier, with ample exposure to trade, commodity and working capital finance in a multitude of different jurisdictions, with an emphasis in emerging markets. He is currently a Managing Director for Alisandu Capital M.anagement, a trade finance advisory company which is also focused on investing and running innovative start-ups.

Duarte is also an elected Board Member of ITFA, the global trade finance industry body, where he leads the Association's Institutional Relations and Emerging Leaders pillars, as well as a Guest Lecturer for Bayes Business School, where he teaches the Trade Finance module for postgraduate students

Duarte’s career spans over 20 years, and previous experience includes roles with Crown Agents Bank (Head of International Development Client Coverage and Head of Trade Finance), AIG (Credit Insurance Underwriting Manager), Caspian Sea Capital (Head of Structured Finance Advisory), the Standard Bank Group (Group Head of Trade Finance Sales - Africa), and Standard Bank Angola (Head of Transactional Banking).
