Esther Baur is leading Swiss Re's European public sector business. With her team she works with governments, public entities, public-private risk pools and export and development finance institutions on innovative risk transfer solutions and risk insights to strengthen societal resilience against climate risks, natural catastrophes, agricultural, credit and political risks, both in advanced and developing economies.

Esther started her career at Swiss Re as Senior Economist in Zurich and New York, and held various positions in Group Strategy and Communication, prior to joining the Public Sector Solutions team in 2011. She graduated from University St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
