Based out of Washington, DC, Jared Kotler is the Global Head of The Hartford’s Credit and Political Risk division. Previously, he was the Head of Credit and Political Risk (Americas) at Validus Group. Prior to Validus, Jared held a senior underwriting role at Chubb’s (formerly Ace) political risk and credit unit. He started his career in the Credit and Political Risk Insurance industry at Zurich where he was a political risk and financial analyst in Zurich’s risk management department before moving to the underwriting department where he was a Senior Underwriter.
Jared received a BA in Mathematics and Statistics from Rutgers University, an MBA in Finance from American University’s Kogod School of Business and an MA in International Economic Policy from American University’s School of International Service.
