John Lentaigne is the Global Head of Credit and Political Risk at Tysers Insurance Brokers. He joined Tysers in August 2020, and has over 20 years of experience in the credit and political risk sphere, as well as prior entrepreneurial experience. Tysers places around US$5bn of credit and political risk insurance limits annually.
Prior to joining Tysers, John was appointed Acting CEO of African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) in June 2019. This followed his role as the Chief Underwriting Officer of ATIDI, a position he assumed in late 2016. During his time at ATIDI John oversaw growth in ATIDI’s insured portfolio to US$6.4bn.
Prior to ATIDI, John was the Co-Head of Political & Credit Risks at Brit, one of the largest syndicates at Lloyds.
John holds a Master of Modern History degree from Oxford University.
