Jørn Fredsgaard Sørensen

Senior Director, Country, Bank & Sector Risk at EIFO

Jørn Fredsgaard Sørensen has since 2012 been heading the Country & Bank Risk department in EIFO, where EIFO’s risk appetite on sovereigns and financial institutions is formulated.

Due to its large exposure to wind projects, the renewables sector is an EIFO trademark and Jørn has been overseeing the development of energy competencies in EIFO.

Jørn also launched and managed EIFO’s Green Accelerator facility in which export companies can apply for grants to develop their export projects.

Jørn has lived and worked in Vietnam, has had his own consultancy company and been senior investment officer in IFU, the Danish development fund.

Educated in political science from Århus University, Universidad Complutense in Madrid and Universität Wien, Jørn also holds an executive MBA from Henley Business School.
