Profile
Tamar Joulia-Paris started her professional career in infrastructure construction and cable manufacturing. She joined banking to set-up a modern risk management framework for lending, investment and trading books and became head of Credit Portfolio Management at ING Group, developing risk appetite, research, stress testing and market-based solutions for risk, capital and liquidity risk mitigation and optimisation. She was also leading the Credit Capital Markets business during the Global Financial Crisis.
Tamar serves now as Senior Advisor at the IACPM, the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers, and as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of Risk Committee on the Board of specialized financial institutions. She is also teaching enterprise risk, credit portfolio management, sustainability transition as well as prudential and sustainability regulations in the financial industry.
Tamar holds various engineering and business management degrees from universities in Europe and is based in Brussels.
