Douglas Ry Wagner is the President of International Agribusiness of AlgaEnergy. Wagner brings over 30 years of experience in the international agricultural sector. He received his B.Sc. in Botany and Plant Pathology from the Michigan State University and carried out his Ph.D. in Genetics at the University of Washington.

Douglas was Professor in the Institute of Molecular Biology at the University of Oregon, is author of over 30 research publications, holds over 35 issued patents and has over 60 patents applications currently under prosecution. He has held executive roles in leading companies such as Dow AgroSciences (as Global New Ventures and Technology Leader, 2009 to 2014) and Agrinos AS (as Chief Executive Officer, 2014 to 2018).
