Irina Taka is the Executive Vice-President of the family-owned business EVYP LLP, Crop Biostimulation Technologies, based in Thessaloniki, Greece. EVYP is the only company in Greece and one of a few in Europe engaged in extensive R&D as well as production of exclusively plant based amino acids for sustainable agriculture. The company’s patented biostimulant Amino 16®, improves production in various crops without leaving any chemical residue in the ground, the plant or the water. Before joining the family business in 2013, Irina served as General Counsel to Capital Product Partners, L.P., a diversified shipping company listed on the NASDAQ. She started her career at UNESCO in Paris with a focus on Peace Building projects in the Balkans before working as Corporate Counsel in the New York and London offices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP where she was active in M&A, Corporate and Project Finance, and Private Equity projects for multinational companies across various sectors. Irina received a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University (1999) and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law (2003) and is a member of the New York Bar and a Solicitor of England & Wales. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Anatolia College and the Board of the Stanford Alumni Association of Greece as well as being a member of various entrepreneurial and charitable organizations.
