Marion Martinez is the Senior Vice President, South Europe at Yara International. She brings 20 years of experience in international agriculture sector, with strong focus on smallholder farming systems in Asia and Africa. Marion holds a B. Sc and M. Sc in Agriculture, Environmental and Food Sciences from ISARA Lyon (Institut Superieur en Agriculture Rhone Alpes), in France.

Her last 15 years of experience were dedicated to Yara, in the crop nutrition segment. Mrs. Martinez has developed crop nutrition programs in Africa in collaboration with the local research institutes and was involved in the development of public private partnerships. She has an extensive experience in Asia, through different roles in several countries. As Country Manager of Yara Vietnam, she was also the Co-Chair with the Ministry of Agriculture at PSAV (Program for Sustainable Agriculture in Vietnam), and has developed and commercialized sustainable farming value proposition. Lately, with her role in Europe, she is focusing on developing Yara’s strategy on organic, bio-stimulants and food chain segments. She is also a board member of Agoro Carbon Alliance, a global initiative created to help farmers earn additional revenue by adopting climate-positive production practices.
