The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is a champion for animals in need. Since 1899, ARL has responded to the needs of animals and supported a community in which animals are protected, safe, and healthy – in homes and out of shelters. ARL’s programs help animals heal and thrive, keeps pets and people together, and protects animals from cruelty and neglect. In 2023, ARL served more than 20,900 animals throughout Massachusetts. With over 1,200 dedicated volunteers and 100 staff members, ARL lends unwavering support to local animals, families, and neighborhoods.
