Amanda Archibald is the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Equinor ASA, a global energy company. Amanda joined Equinor in 2015, she led the Trade Controls team with responsibility for sanctions and export control compliance across the company, both at a program and transactional level before taking on the role of Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in 2023 and is an experienced compliance lawyer having taken both private practice and in house roles during her career. Prior to working for Equinor she worked in house for a large UK bank and also in private practice. Amanda now has responsibility for compliance and ethics issues globally across the Equinor group and manages a group of compliance specialists within Legal. During her time at Equinor she has collaborated with various EU/Norwegian governmental bodies as well as external partners and suppliers.
