Michael is currently Head of Sanctions Legal at Nordea. Prior to joining Nordea in 2019, Michael was a lawyer in private practice at Cleary Gottlieb in Washington, DC and Mannheimer Swartling in Stockholm, Sweden, where he advised on a variety of corporate law and compliance-related matters. Michael is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
