Jonas Andrulis, Founder and CEO at Heidelberg AI R&D
Jonas is Founder and CEO of the Heidelberg AI R&D Start-Up Aleph Alpha. He received his engineering degree from KIT focusing on artificial intelligence and modelling. As a serial entrepreneur he successfully started two AI software companies before Aleph Alpha: The first to plan and optimize logistics, the second to innovate human-in-the-loop training and validation of Deep Learning algorithms in human-machine interaction. From 2016 on he was senior AI R&D manager at Apple’s Special Projects Group. In his career he has been building numerous innovations at the forefront of the development towards transformative AI. This resulted in experiences from innovative academic experiments to building and operating petabyte machine learning pipelines for computer vision, language processing and strategy models.
Dirk Abendroth, CEO at Customcells
Dirk is an electrical engineer by heart and CEO at Customcells, one of the world’s most promising companies in the development of special lithium-ion battery cells which are, for instance, already used in the Porsche Taycan or Lilium jets. Dirk is not only an expert in automotive and aircraft technology, but also a talented and experienced manager who has worked as CTO for Continental AG, one of the world’s oldest and largest OEMs in mobility. Before, Dirk spend ~15 years in autonomous and electric driving at Byton (US) and BMW (Germany).
Tim Wegner, Founder & Managing Director at Workist
Tim is a seasoned Tech Entrepreneur (awarded Forbes Top 30 in AI) and founder of Workist, a promising company in the field of AI work automation, already trusted by global industry leaders such as PepsiCo or Deutsche Bahn. Tim studied physics at TU Munich, Imperial College and MIT and went on to work at McKinsey. He previously built and exited a B2B big data analytics company called Minodes, which was acquired by Telefónica in 2017. With Workist, Tim and his cofounders want to fully automate common business functions in sales and procurement and make B2B trade processes work instantaneous and frictionless around the world.
Ludwig Ensthaler, General Partner at 468 Capital
Before co-founding 468 Capital in 2020, Ludwig was a Partner at Global Founders Capital (the 2 B+ investment arm of Rocket Internet), building the US investment practice and deploying a total of 250 M+ into early-stage technology companies such as Away, Slack or Hometogo. Earlier, Ludwig was in charge of quantitative and analytics at Rocket Internet globally, where he led major technology projects for Rocket’s key portfolio companies.
