Leslie A. Hickle, Ph.D., is the CEO for FarmSense, a Riverside California agricultural IoT company developing smart pest monitoring technology. She has extensive R&D leadership, business and transactional experience across multiple industries leading to legacy products with multi-million dollar sales and/or collaborations at Stauffer Chemical/Syngenta, Diversa , AgriLynx, Mycogen, Bayer Animal Health, Synthetic Genomics, and BioAtla. She has led and mentored teams that have developed novel chemicals and biopesticides, plant traits, vaccines, therapeutics, and technology platforms; is co- inventor on patents and has publications in animal health and agriculture. Leslie believes that realtime accurate data coupled with powerful AI and Machine Learning technologies will enable us to reduce the loss to pests of pre- and post-harvest food while concurrently supporting sustainable farming systems and reducing our dependence on pesticides.
