Ray is an experienced international airport executive and non-executive director, a former partner with PwC and a former privatisation/IPO adviser to Irish Government.Ray has 20+ years boardroom experience, including 10 years as International non-executive director across 5 EMEA countries. His board experience includes Düsseldorf Airport, Larnaca & Paphos Airports (Hermes Airports), Aer Rianta International’s global airport retail business, daa International, Shannon Airport and National Shared Services – Government of Ireland.Ray is currently an independent aviation consultant and principal at Derryquin Associates.Prior to this, Ray spent 22 years as CFO and member of the Executive Board at daa plc group – with some 35 international ventures in 20 countries and a €1bn+ annual managed turnover, delivering 7% CAGR in EBITDA over the period. He led €5bn in airport funding | €3.5bn in airport capital investment | €1bn in M&A | €2bn in restructuring activities. And he successfully steered the group through major aviation cycles including Covid-19, great financial crisis and 9/11.Ray was formerly a former consulting & audit partner at PwC. Throughout his aviation and business career he has worked closely with government ministers and officials and with national regulators.
