Benjamin Murray is Chief Operating Officer – Private Capital at Westwood Holdings Group. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer at Council Oaks Partners, a PE and private credit fund manager in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations at Weizmann Global Endowment Management Trust, a $5 billion endowment located in New York. Mr. Murray was also Chief Operating Officer/Chief Compliance Officer at Cypress Creek Partners, a private markets-focused asset manager in Austin, Texas, and, prior to that, he was director/head of operational due diligence with UTIMCO. Mr. Murray has also held various investment operations and operational due diligence roles at William Blair, PEAK6, Aurora, and Man Investments in Chicago. Mr. Murray is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Austin. He holds a BA in Communication and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri.
