Betsy Thedford, JD, CPA joined Islander Capital Partners in 2023.
Prior to Islander, Betsy was Managing Partner and Chief Compliance Officer at Windham Capital Management, a quantitative private fund and wealth manager. She was responsible for oversight of all finance, legal, and compliance matters. She was also previously the Director of Compliance/Counsel and Principal at Highfields Capital Management LP, where she oversaw the implementation of the compliance program and advised the hedge fund on operational, legal, and regulatory compliance matters.
Prior to joining Highfields in 2014, Betsy spent 10 years in the Asset Management practice at PwC. She was a Director within PwC’s Regulatory Practice specializing in investment management in the Boston and London office. Betsy first started working with investment managers in the PwC Assurance Practice, where she focused on auditing registered investment companies, hedge funds, real estate and private equity funds and performing operational controls attestation engagements.
