Erin Simpson is a Managing Director of Wilshire Associates and head of the Wilshire Funds Management Operations & Risk Management Group. Ms. Simpson joined Wilshire Associates in 2013, and has over a decade of experience specializing in risk management and operations in the alternative asset industry. Previously Erin worked as a risk analyst at Kenmar Global Investments. She then moved to Merrill Lynch’s Hedge Fund Development and Management Group (“HFDMG”), where she performed risk analysis and designed and developed risk and reporting systems. In 2008, she became the Executive Vice President and member of Risk Fundamentals, a risk transparency software company spun-out of Merrill’s HFDMG. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Erin spent three years with NASA specializing in space science and astronomical research at the Space Telescope Science Institute.

Erin received her BS in Astrophysics from Yale University and her MS in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University.
