Erin Simpson is a Managing Director of Wilshire and heads Wilshire’s Operations and Risk Management Team. She has over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Before joining Wilshire in 2013, Ms. Simpson performed risk analysis and designed risk systems for Merrill Lynch’s Hedge Fund Development and Management Group. She then became the Executive Vice President of Risk Fundamentals, a risk transparency company spun-out of Merrill. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Erin spent three years with NASA specializing in astronomical research at the Space Telescope Science Institute. Erin received a BS in Astronomy and Physics from Yale University and an MS in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University.
