Director of Operational Due Diligence at First Trust Capital Management

Nicholas Lotysz is the director of operational due diligence for First Trust Capital Management. He is responsible for operational due diligence reviews of managers and ongoing manager monitoring. Prior to joining the team in 2018, Nick worked as a VP for Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc. where he spent nine years performing operational due diligence on alternative investment managers.

Prior to joining Mesirow Advanced Strategies, Inc. in 2009, he worked as the director of finance and operations at Lakeview Investment Group, LLC. Prior to joining Lakeview Investment Group, LLC, in 2007, he worked as an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse and as an auditor at Deloitte. At Deloitte, Mr. Lotysz was part of the enterprise risk services practice and focused on financial services clients, primarily hedge funds. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition, Nick is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CFA charter holder.
