Patrick Henning serves as Chief Deputy Treasurer for the California State Treasurer’s Office, overseeing daily operations. He has served four Governors in key roles, including Director of the Employment Development Department, Chief Deputy Appointments Secretary under Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., and senior positions at the Labor and Workforce Development Agency and Department of Industrial Relations. Patrick has also worked as a Legislative Advocate for the California State Council of Laborers and as Director of Legislative Advocacy for the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas.
At the federal level, Patrick served as a congressional liaison and special advisor in President Clinton’s Office of Presidential Personnel and as a legislative assistant to Congressman Vic Fazio. In addition to state and federal service, Patrick has contributed to several boards and commissions focused on economic development, workforce training, and mental health.
