Sharon Prince, CEO and Founder of Grace Farms, created an unprecedented boundary-defying public space that advances good locally and globally. Prince commissioned Pritzker Prize-winning firm SANAA to design Grace Farms, a global humanitarian and cultural center.
Its interdisciplinary humanitarian mission is to pursue peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom, the global movement to eliminate forced labor from the building materials supply chain.
Prince launched Design for Freedom with a Report about how forced labor is embedded into the built environment. She released the Design for Freedom Toolkit, a resource professionals use to implement ethical sourcing strategies. In recognition of her impact, Fast Company named Prince one of of the Most Creative People in Business 2022: For Cleaning up Construction.
Prince is a social entrepreneur who co-founded Grace Farms Tea & Coffee, a certified B Corp. that demonstrates ethical, sustainable supply chains and supports Design for Freedom. |
