Peter Webber has been a director of Container Trades Statistics Ltd since its inception in 2008 and became CEO in July 2019.

A graduate of University College London, he first worked in the Economics and Finance Division of the Far Eastern Freight Conference.

In 1985 he joined the European South Pacific & Magellan Conference (ESPMC). This later merged with the Association of West India Trans Atlantic Steam Ship Lines (WITASS) and he became manager of the ESPMC/WITASS Joint Secretariat in 1994. He was also secretary of the Europe East Coast South America Conference (EECSAC).

In 2002 he joined Conference Administration Services Ltd as Company Secretary and managed, among others, the Europe Mediterranean Trade Agreement (EMTA).
